Today's Event is Rescheduled for Sat., June 7, 2025

Out of an abundance of caution with the impending severe weather, we have made the difficult decision to utilize our weather backup date of June 7th. The rescheduled event will be at the same time and place.
Thoughtfully,
Regina and Kimberly

Annual Event

Since 2023, Regina Jones and Kimberly Wieberg, the dynamic co-founders of Preserve the Connections, have been bringing their shared vision to life in the Preserve at Smith Creek community. Residents and passionate small business entrepreneurs joined forces to create an annual event that celebrates local artisans, vendors, neighbors, and charities, intending to strengthen community bonds.

This highly anticipated event connects people and gives back in meaningful ways. All vendor booth proceeds, along with 10% of the food truck sales, will benefit two outstanding charities, "Note in the Pocket" and "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Triangle". Following two highly successful years, this year’s gathering promises to be bigger and better than ever.

The day will be filled with entertainment and activities for the whole family! Enjoy live music from talented local musicians playing both cover songs and original works. Savor delicious offerings from the various food trucks while exploring the incredible products from local vendors. Back by popular demand is the crowd-favorite Cornhole Tournament, so bring your A-game! Additionally, this year’s event will feature an exciting Classic Car Show, showcasing vintage treasures sure to delight auto enthusiasts.

Kids will also have plenty to enjoy, with treats like ice cream, popcorn, cotton candy, face painting, and special surprises. This event truly has something for everyone.

Regina Jones of OnWire Realty shares, "I'm excited to have the opportunity to bring neighbors, entrepreneurs, and these two amazing charities together at such a wonderful event". Kimberly Wieberg, owner of CAEN Handmade, adds, “With Mother’s Day just around the corner, this is the perfect opportunity for the Wake Forest and South Granville communities to support local vendors while finding unique and thoughtful gifts!”

OnWire Realty, CAEN Handmade, and Hearth Counseling and Consulting are sponsoring this year's event.
